Prerequisites

Tool	Minimum version
Container engine (e.g. Docker Engine, Podman)	Docker 24.x / Podman 4.x
Compose plugin	docker compose v2.x or podman-compose

No Node.js required on the host.

Quick start

# 1. Clone
git clone https://github.com/IgnitedLabs/chrome-devtools-mcp-canister.git
cd chrome-devtools-mcp-canister

# 2. Copy env file (edit CDP_PORT if 9222 is taken)
cp .env.example .env

# 3. Build and start
docker compose up --build

The MCP server listens on stdin/stdout (stdio transport). The Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) port is mapped to 127.0.0.1:${CDP_PORT} (default 9222) for diagnostic use.
