It enables multi-agent AI systems to coordinate complex workflows through a structured nine-phase development pipeline with built-in dependency tracking.
The coordination backbone for multi-agent AI development. ForgeSpec MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that brings structured, auditable workflows to AI-powered software engineering through Spec-Driven Development (SDD).
Building software with multiple AI agents (Claude, Codex, Gemini, etc.) introduces coordination challenges that don't exist in single-agent workflows:

npx -y forgespec-mcpForgeSpec manages the workflow (contracts, tasks, file locks). Cortex manages the memory (observations, knowledge graph, session continuity). Together they form a complete multi-agent coordination stack:
