Works with any AI coding tool

The MCP server is an open Model Context Protocol endpoint — it works in anything that speaks MCP:

Claude Code · Claude Desktop · ChatGPT · Cursor · VS Code (Copilot) · Windsurf · Cline · Zed · and any other MCP client

https://motionsites.dev/api/mcp

The planning and build guidance ships in two formats so no tool is left out:

Your tool Use
Claude Code Install the plugin — skills load automatically
Codex · Cursor · Windsurf · Zed · Gemini CLI · Devin · Junie · Aider · goose · VS Code Copy AGENTS.md into your project root
Anything else Point your agent at AGENTS.md — it's plain Markdown

Claude Code

/plugin marketplace add kvalen-code/Motionsites-Dev
/plugin install ryai

Everything else

Add the MCP server in your tool's settings, then drop AGENTS.md into your project. Searching the library needs no account.

Why this instead of generating everything

It costs about 6× less

Over half the library ships real component code. Those blocks download straight to disk and never enter the model's context — you pay input-token prices for a lookup instead of output-token prices for generation, and output tokens cost roughly 5× more.

Measured on a typical eight-block landing page:

Input Output Approx. cost
With RYAI 13K 7.5K $0.15
Generating from scratch (incl. ~2.5 rounds of rework) 30K 60K $0.99

A single component averages ~10,000 characters of TSX. Fetching two of them costs about 1,166 characters of context — only the download URLs come back, the code goes to disk.

It doesn't ask you technical questions

Five questions, maximum, and none of them jargon:

Do people need to log in or save data? — not "do you need a backend" What feel are you after? — not "neumorphism or brutalism"

Stack, routing and file layout are decided for you. You answer what the site does.

The blocks are real, not descriptions of blocks

Every block in your plan is a real item found by searching the library — never a slug the model invented. 57% ship working React + Tailwind code with their dependency list; the rest ship a detailed prompt to generate from.

What's in the library

1,600+ items, browsable at motionsites.dev:

Kind What it is
sections Page blocks — hero, pricing, testimonials, FAQ, footer, features…
sites Whole single-page sites
apps Dashboards, mobile app UIs, tool interfaces
backgrounds Looping background video and gradients
skill-mcp A curated index of other people's agent skills and MCP servers

Two collections: Motionsites (700+) and Jiro (1,000+). Built with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion / Motion, GSAP and Lucide.

How it works

1. Plan

"I want to make a site for my coffee shop" becomes a PROJECT.md with a real block named for every section:

# Coffee shop site
Stack: Next.js + Tailwind
## Home
- [ ] hero — coffee-shop-header-laounge (code)
- [ ] features — bento-grid-stats (code)
- [ ] pricing — nimbus-pricing (prompt)

2. Build

(code) blocks download to disk. (prompt) blocks get generated from their body, one at a time. Dependencies install once, as a union.

MCP tools

Tool Auth Returns
search_prompts none Matching blocks: title, description, preview, whether it ships code, which tier it needs
get_prompt API key One prompt body, for blocks with no prebuilt code
fetch_blocks API key One signed download URL per file, plus dependencies — code never enters context
get_scaffold API key Git clone URLs for a full starter template

API keys are created at motionsites.dev/dashboard/mcp-keys and sent as Authorization: Bearer sk-ryai-....

Pricing

Browsing and searching are free. Fetching prompt bodies, component code and scaffolds needs a membership — $39–$179/year depending on tier. See motionsites.dev or ryai.ai.
