🚀 Quick Start & Installation

Option 1: 1-Click Tester Setup (Recommended for Producers & Beta Testers)

No compilation required. Download pre-built bundles from GitHub Releases.

1. Download Packages:
   • Desktop App: Oszillation-Mixing-Buddy-v0.9.0.dmg (Tauri v2 Desktop HUD + native Swift accessibility sidecar & Steinberg engine).
   • Meter Satellites: MixingBuddyMeter-Plugins-v0.9.0.zip (AudioUnit for Logic Pro & VST3 for Steinberg Nuendo / Cubase).
   • Steinberg Remote Script: Steinberg-MIDI-Remote-Script-v0.9.0.zip (Natives JS MIDI Remote Skript für Nuendo 14 / Cubase 14).

2. Install Desktop App:
   • Open the .dmg and drag Oszillation Mixing Buddy.app into your /Applications folder.
3. Install Plugins (1-Click):
   • Unzip MixingBuddyMeter-Plugins-v0.9.0.zip and double-click install-plugins.command.
   • Alternatively copy manually:
     • AU: MixingBuddyMeter.component $\rightarrow$ ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

4. Steinberg Remote Setup (Nuendo 14 & Cubase):
   • In the desktop HUD under Hamburger Menu $\rightarrow$ Werkzeuge & Vault, click „Steinberg MIDI Remote Installieren“ (or copy Oszillation_MixingBuddy.js to ~/Documents/Steinberg/Nuendo 14/MIDI Remote/Driver Scripts/Local/Oszillation/MixingBuddy/).
5. Grant macOS Permissions:
   • Accessibility (Bedienungshilfen): Open macOS System Settings $\rightarrow$ Privacy & Security $\rightarrow$ Accessibility and enable Oszillation Mixing Buddy.
   • Microphone (Speech Assistant): Required when using the Push-to-Talk voice assistant.
6. Launch & Mix:
   • Launch Oszillation Mixing Buddy from /Applications/.
   • Insert MixingBuddyMeter on your DAW master bus or group stems. Telemetry locks in within 33 milliseconds.
